Time to crank it up!

Summer is here, and it’s time to hit the trail. Whatever your pace of play, the Highlands terrain and views at Sir Sam’s Ski / Ride offer a unique place to bring the family for authentic summer fun and excitement.

Overlooking Picturesque Eagle Lake, we feature over 23 kilometres of cross-country and downhill trail traversing open meadow, hardwood forest, and ancient rock outcroppings. Don’t let the pretty scenery fool you though, advanced trails can be as challenging as it they are charming, and will play host to the Provincial Championships in late August.

For those who take their riding a little more leisurely, not to worry, there’s plenty of trail perfect for casual riding. Plus, our Time Tunnel offers an easy “walk-on, walk-off” ride to the top.

For those looking for a change of pace, 6km of interpretive hiking and trail running trails await you. Carved through the same terrain as our riding trails, it’s a great way to lose yourself in nature, learn a bit about the area and our namesake, Sir Sam Hughes, while getting some exercise.
