Passholder Credit now available

The season seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, and when all was said and done, we were permitted to open 35 days out of the 72 in a typical ski season. Short as it was, we had full value from nature as there was nary a bad day in the mix, and many days were truly exceptional.

While a good number of you had the good fortune to pack in almost a season’s worth of skiing and boarding, any of you, however, did not have the opportunity to get full value for your Pass. We invite those guests to complete our Passholder Credit Application before April 23, 2021 to earn credit towards your 2021/22 season pass(es). 8-Pack Ticket Books or Gift Certificates will carry over into next season with no further action required.

The application process is easy — a couple minutes to complete the online form, and we’ll follow up by email or phone with your credit details. Feel that you had full value for your pass this year? We’d appreciate you spending 30 seconds to let us know!

Changes for 2020

All the changes in one place. Before you visit, read and familiarize yourself with the important changes we’ve made in response to COVID-19 to ensure everyone’s well-being during your visit.

Our COVID Policies

While we’re eager to see everyone again, if you are (or have been in contact with someone) experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, or have been outside the province in the last 14 days, please do not attend the hill or any camps, programs, or lessons.

Maintain 2m/6 feet of distance from any guest not in your immediate social circle.

Wear your face covering while indoors, using the lifts, and when proper physical distancing is not possible.

Staff will be sanitizing high-contact surfaces throughout the chalet frequently, while multi-use items will revert to single use, and sanitized before being replaced.

Working with industry partners and the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit, we have prepared a comprehensive COVID Operation Plan for to inform and guide our actions across our entire operation.

Our employees will be screened daily, wear the appropriate PPE, and be trained on COVID-19 health protocols.

On the Hill

Buy ahead. Buying your lift tickets online is your surefire way to arrive and avoid disappointment as tickets sold daily from the window may be limited. Snowshoe passes, Time Tunnel – Lower Half and rentals of individual pieces of equipment are to be purchased at the ticket window.

Make reservations. All guests, including pass holders, must book ahead for contact tracing purposes. Daily lift tickets purchased through our website automatically include the reservation process.

Arrive ready to hit the hill. Chalet access will be limited, arriving dressed and ready to hit the hill will ensure your day starts as quickly as possible.

Season Pass Holders, please have your passes visible to staff greeting you at the gate.

To minimize indoor traffic, gear storage will not be available in any area of the chalet, with the exception of those who have rented lockers.

Chalet traffic will be directed, and access will be limited to ticket/pass holders and restaurant patrons. The claiming or reserving of tables will not be permitted.

On weekends and holidays, look for the first lift to now start at 9am, 30 minutes earlier than past seasons with additional lifts opening at short intervals thereafter.

When the option is available, please reserve quad lift use for families and social groups, and use double lifts for singles and pairs.

Snow School

All Camps, Programs, Private Lessons, and Discover packages must be booked in advance to ensure availability of instructors

All Holiday Camp and Program registrations must start via the online form on our Snow School page.

For those booking Private Lessons and Discover Packages, please call the Snow School at 705-754-2298 or email to schedule.

Lift tickets must now be purchased online, and will no longer be sold through the Snow School desk.

Please have only one parent or guardian accompany the youth participants to their drop-off or pick-up. Parents/guardians must wear mask while doing so.

Please ensure participants are dressed appropriately for the weather of the day. Chalet restrictions may mean a warming space is unavailable on certain days.

Instructors and participants are to wear face coverings for the duration of the lesson.

Lessons will use the carpet lift whenever possible to avoid the close proximity of the chairlift.

Merry Mite participants must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the lesson to assist will falls, equipment adjustments, etc. For 7-week program participants, accompanying adults will be provided with a complementary lift ticket valid for the duration of the lesson.

Please have only one parent or guardian accompany the youth participants to their drop-off or pick-up. Parents/guardians must wear mask while doing so.

To minimize gathering sizes, Private Lessons will begin in 15 minute intervals.

Rental Shop

Full Rental Packages (ski, boots, poles, helmet or snowboard, boots, helmet) must be purchased online in advance of your visit, and available packages will be limited to ensure adequate supply of sanitized gear.

The rental shop will be limiting the number of guest groups in the shop at any one time.

The line-up for the rental shop will be outdoors, starting just outside the rental shop door.

If you are collecting rental gear in advance of a lesson, we recommend giving yourself at least an hour before your lesson time to do so. In peak times, lesson participants may be given priority to ensure camps, programs and lessons run on schedule.

Individual equipment components can be purchased through the ticket window on your arrival (no advance booking required).

During your time with us, we remind you to be kind and to be patient — unlike many businesses who have spent the past 7-8 months adapting to “the new normal”, many ski resorts across Ontario are essentially experiencing it for the first time. As the high tide lifts all boats, your understanding and co-operation will lift everyone’s experience.

New take-away window. Order and pick-up our full menu without setting foot in the chalet, located at the back of the chalet.

Outdoor heated dining tent. Located behind the chalet adjacent to the take-away window, this heated tent expands our dining capacity.

Outdoor cooking area. We’ve expanded our deck-side BBQ area with the addition of a fryer, allowing guests to add their favourite side without making a second stop in the chalet.

Expanded outdoor tables. Guests can also make use of picnic tables provided around the chalet to enjoy take-away or brown-bag lunches.

Outdoor washrooms. When nature calls, additional outdoor facilities make it that much easier to answer.

Guests are to wear their face coverings at all times in any dining area, with the exception of when seated at your table.

The most notable change to returning guests, the top floor of the chalet, Sammy’s Pub and the deck will now be assigned seating. Chalet staff will greet diners at the dining entrance and lead them to their table.

Tables in all dining areas will now be a minimum of six feet apart to maintain appropriate physical distancing between groups.

To ensure adequate table capacity for dining guests, outside food is not allowed in the chalet or outdoor dining tent.

Planning your visit? Here’s 5 key changes to remember

Temps are dropping, snowmaking has kicked off, and in a few short weeks, we’ll be welcoming you back for another great snow season. Of course, this winter will be different from any before it, and with day ticket sales soon coming online, now is the time to remind our guests of 5 key changes to bear in mind when planning your visit.

Visit our site before the slopes. To help manage capacity, daily lift tickets and rental packages must be purchased online, and season pass holders will need to make reservations prior to arriving at the hill, with links for both coming soon. Snowshoeing? Pay for your trail passes and rentals at the ticket window.

Arrive ready to hit the slopes. Chalet access will be restricted this season to facilitate traffic flow and ensure physical distancing. As such, there will be no indoor change areas or gear storage available.

School’s in session. All Snow School instruction must be booked in advance to ensure availability of instructors. Start your Camp or 7-Week program registration via the online form on our Snow School page, or book your Private Lessons and Discover packages by phone at 705-754-2298 or by email.

Please wait to be seated. Chalet foodservice will occupy the top level of the chalet and sun-deck this season. Seating will be assigned, and no outside food will be permitted in the chalet. Outdoor foodservice options will be available with our new take-out window, BBQs (weather-permitting), outdoor dining tent, and picnic tables.

Start earlier, ride and slide longer. On weekends and holidays, the first lift will start at 9:00am, 30 minutes earlier than past years. Other lifts will start at 15 minute intervals afterwards.

Bonus. With the earlier start on weekends and holidays, we’re now offering half-day lift tickets for mornings (9:00–12:30), perfect for enjoying the best conditions before getting on with the rest of your day.
